Introduction

NLP is a way for individuals to set and alter their perception of the world. You are better able to define your point of view toward life further. It changes the way you think, depending on the system of NLP that you choose. There are numerous strategies to consider when mastering NLP.

Furthermore, these strategies must be incorporated properly so that these can genuinely aid you in your journey to self-transformation. Remember, anyone who wishes to change can do so. Trying to achieve something despite all of the challenges and hardships relies heavily on one’s mindset. While several outside factors may influence one’s decision on a particular attribute in their life, the last call will always be yours. With that in mind, neuro-linguistic programming is a series of exercise that aims to change how you live your life by allowing you to learn more about your strengths and weaknesses and use them to your advantage.

This guidebook focuses on neuro-linguistic programming as a concept that further aids how dark psychology is proven effective in the manipulation of the people around you. Moreover, do keep in mind that it is not the only concept that can be used when talking about dark psychology.

Think of it this way; each one of us has their own set of behavioral patterns and attitudes toward certain happenings. It is essential to note that an individual’s behavior is based on a system or structure that is also determined by the individual. Therefore, if you wish to change your behavior, you would have to change your structure of belief. With NLP, you can examine your structure, which includes everything from the way you think or formulate thoughts that lead you to make certain decisions in life, how you act and speak, to how you use particular models to do so. Richard Bandler, an American author and someone who is considered an expert in the field of self-help, initially created these models. Furthermore, he and John Grinder were the creators of neuro-linguistic programming. In creating the models for how the patterns of human behavior are better understood and changed, Bandler took particular interest in certain personalities like Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, and Milton Erickson, all of which are highly distinguished in the realm of linguistic and behavioral powers.

NLP began back in Santa Cruz, California in 1972. The concept bloomed from the collaboration between Grinder, who was, at the time, teaches at the University of California, and Bandler, who was a psychology student at the same university. Bandler took particular interest in psychotherapy and, with Grinder, studied the works of Perls, Satir, and Erickson. However, it is important to recognize that their goal was not to start a new school of therapy but to distinguish several patterns used by some of the greatest psychologists of their time. They had the idea to use these patterns to create models of therapy that worked in practice, and that can be taught to others. Perls, Satir, and Erickson had three distinct personalities, yet they all use the same underlying principles.
